The Peer Group Club

Registration is very strict as this is a professional forum. No fees or obligations are involved at any time. Nearly every person who registers here will have been invited by Site Admin or another approved member.

Site Admin does not sign up people.

There is automatic registration but new registrations remain frozen until Site Admin reviews them.

Registration requires:

1. Passing the Captcha test accessing registration page.
2. A username (which should not resemble your true name at all) - eg. FasterFox or HappyBunny or something like that, is okay.
3. A valid email address. You won't ever get spam from this site. It should be an email address that you would check regularly because alerts on new topics and responses to discussions will go to that email address (and you can control how often you get such alerts if the site becomes too busy).
4. Checking email for registration details.

Checks

1. Site admin will expect to be alerted to invitees' email addresses in advance in the background. This is because Site Admin would need to ensure that members of the general public, who could try to get in, are not mistakenly assumed to be professionals.
2. Site admin will delete registrations that contain an email address appearing to be from a spammer, without making inquiries or further checks.
3. No personal data other than an email address is needed. Not even a telephone contact. This is to avoid problems with GDPR.
4. Email addresses would show to Site Admin, in PGC on registration.
5. Email addresses are not shared with other registrants/members at PGC.

Deregistration:

1. Members can ask to deregister.
2. On deregistration, posts that were part of a discussion will remain but under an alternative generic username.
3. When a registration is deleted, email addresses previously supplied will be deleted.
